Get a Good Night's Rest to Stem the Risk of Bacterial Vaginosis
Are you well rested on a regular basis? Do you find yourself able to get a good night's sleep or are your sleep times often interrupted and short in duration? Are you actually getting a solid 7 or 8 hours sleep on a night by night basis, or do you find yourself often having to settle for less than that with increasing regularity.
Many people who are working stressful and demanding jobs often end up also suffering from bad sleeping habits. Not only will there inevitably be times when you can't get to sleep due to the fact that you're worried about something in particular, but you'll also find that there are days when it really does seem as though there aren't enough hours in the day itself and you're left rushing deadlines and forced to sacrifice your sleep as a result.
All said and done, if you aren't getting a good night's rest, you're increasing the risk that your body will become imbalanced. Of course, the minute your body is suffering from any sort of imbalance you're automatically going to be at greater risk of contracting bacterial vaginosis. Needless to say, this is the last thing that you want to happen - especially if you're stressed out and sleepy to boot!
Last but certainly not least, when you're sleeping your body is going to be resting and healing itself - both of these things are important to help fight the risk of infection by bacterial vaginosis and other things. To ensuer that you're able to get exactly this, you're going to need to start taking steps that will help you to achieve your goals and get a good night's rest!
For starters, you could attempt a time-tested technique known as visualization. On some levels, counting sheep is a type of visualization too, but of course instead of just counting you should actually be imagining those sheep jumping as you count them - or something like that. Similarly, if there are other techniques that you know help you to relax, unwind, and feel drowsy, such as footrubs, backrubs, or even stomach rubs - go ahead and pursue them.
At the end of the day, the idea is to somehow ensure that you're able to get a good rest - it doesn't matter how.
Listen to an audiobook if you run out of ideas. Watch a movie, talk to a friend - whatever helps you to somehow relax your mind and reduce your stress levels should also help you to get a good night's sleep. Basically, stress and sleep are so hopelessly intertwined that when you do something to benefit one side, the other side is going to inevitably benefit too.
Keep this in mind, and try your hardest to sleep through the night in one solid rest. No amount of relaxation can beat a good night's sleep.
