Discover the Symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis
If you suspect yourself of suffering from bacterial vaginosis, one of the first things that you should do is get yourself diagnosed. However, the big question is: How do you even begin to 'suspect' yourself of suffering from bacterial vaginosis if you don't know exactly what symptoms it consists of? As such, you should easily see why it is important for you to know and understand the symptoms of this particular condition!
Generally speaking, one of the most noticeable symptoms of bacterial vaginosis is the excessive vaginal discharge that you're bound to face. All women have vaginal discharges from time to time - but in the case of bacterial vaginosis, it is going to be extreme and so much so you may find yourself walking around feeling 'slimy' and 'unclean'. Couple this with the 'fishy' smell of vaginal discharge and you can see why it could affect your self esteem and even your sex life.
Another symptom that goes in tandem with the excessive vaginal discharge is the itching that invariably follows. In some cases, this itching may be mild and barely noticeable. However in others it is so bad that you cannot sit still else it will become completely unbearable! Of coruse, scratching is certainly not an option - especially not when you're in public, and so you'll find yourself forced to suffer in silence.
Occasionally, bacterial vaginosis can cause something a lot more severe than just itching, and you might find yourself feeling some pretty severe vaginal pains. Quite frankly, this can often cause you to be unable to function normally, and it is one of the many reasons why bacterial vaginosis needs to be treated as quickly as possible.
Furthermore, a less known, but very important, symptom of bacterial vaginosis is the Vitamin B deficiency that it causes. While this might not seem all that important to you at first glance, you should know that Vitamin B plays an extremely important role in how our body processes energy, and therefore a deficiency could lead to bigger problems such as fatigue, dizziness, or even just a decreaesd ability to perform or think properly.
Although there are other symptoms of bacterial vaginosis, we've covered the most prominent ones already. Now that you're aware of what you could find yourself face to face with, you may be able to recognize the symptoms as and when they crop up - and thus know whether or not you should get yourself diagnosed.
To be perfectly honest, if you find yourself facing even one of the symptoms that we mentioned just now, you need to march yourself to a doctor's office!
